Is my build weak ???? my recent built is core i5-9400F RTX 2060 16GB Corsair DDR4 2666mhz 500gb wd ssd is this build enough to play Ghost recon Breakpoint on high or very high settings ?? i played beta this week and it was awfully lagging some people had no issues at all on 1080pixels 75fps and some are saying that my build is weak I don’t understand recommended cpu is core i7 6700k is the game broken or my build is not good enough ???

Your build is nowhere near weak. It is in fact, strong. It's easily enough to play at High to Very High settings in Ghost Recon Breakpoint as it meets every single system requirement. If you'll notice beside that i7 6700K it also shows a Ryzen 5 1600. Which has 6 cores and 12 threads. Your i5-9400F has 6 cores and 6 threads. In certain games, the i7 6700K is going to get around 5-10% better fps. In certain games, your i5-9400F is going to get around 5-10% better fps than that i7.

The game is not broken, it is like you say, in beta. You will easily be above to achieve 60-80 fps in the game and even above that if you turn down certain fps killing graphic settings that do subtle changes to visual fidelity. As for fps drops, those are common in any recent video games, especially those released by Ubisoft.

The problem is that the world is gigantic. And things happen in the world on their own. In particularly, explosions. These explosions, combined with graphically demanding areas of the game and certain enemies and players inside the game, and what all these enemies and players are actually doing in this world, contribute to fps drops.

Throw in the fact that you'll be playing it online, you can imagine what that does to fps as well. Other players are going to be rendered into the game. And these other players are going to be doing all sorts of things. Then you throw in how your PC is optimized in general and your hardware of course. Luckily for you, your hardware is more than fine.

None of your hardware does not need to be upgraded anytime soon. Trust me, I'm getting an average of 60-75 fps with drops into the high 40's, mid 50's and around 85-110 fps when flying in Ghost Recon Wildlands. All of this in 1440p using a 2015 i5 clocked at just 3.0 GHz combined with a 1070 and just DDR4-2133 RAM. Don't ever think your hardware is weak. Anyone that says that doesn't know what they're saying.

Guys I have a question

my recent built is

core i5-9400F

RTX 2060

16GB Corsair DDR4 2666mhz

500gb wd ssd

now is this build enough to play Ghost recon Breakpoint on high or very high settings ??

i played beta this week and it was awfully lagging ... some people had no issues at all on 1080pixels 75fps .. and some are saying that my build is weak...   I don’t understand ... recommended cpu is core i7 6700k ..  is the game broken or my build is not good enough ???

You should be completely fine although that processor is some kinda low power model from what i can see so single core performance might lag a bit behind but it should still be okay. What res are you running at?

1080 pixels medium settings on 60fps

Are all the drivers installed correctly?

Yes .. latest nvidia driver and all is updated ...  the issue happens when I’m at a densely populated area and enemies come in bulk .. the frames go as low as 40fps .. but as i go to forest the frames goes normal ... I don’t get what the problem is

Its a normal i5 9400, the F designation just means it has no onboard video.

Welcome to the land of CPU heavy games. You'd need an i7 or lower settings

Probably the game needs a lot of performance patches, the i5 9400f is as powerful as the recommended specs

It's because of the large number of player characters in motion at the same time. The low ckockspeed of the i5 isn't helping either

i know that all of the ais in motion are a heavy cpu load. That's why i think they have to optimize it to put lesser load on it

So if i put i7 8700k on a normal LGA1151 motherboard ... will it work ???  Or i need a non K processor ... because here non K processor is expensive than K processor

I don't exactly get what you mean but a K processor is usually recommended even if the chipset doesn't support overclocking especially if you can get that for cheaper.

i'd wait until after a while that the game has released. If it's still like that, then you can put in any processor you want, like an 8700k. What motherboard do you have though? That's a power hungry cpu

also check so that the chipset matches the generation of the cpu cause intel are dumb and they don't make em backwards compatible

ASUS PRIME H310M-E LGA1151... i think this one’s not gonna cut it

Yeah no It already holds back the performance of the i5 9400f, Imagine what It will do to a much more power hungry 8700k. My idea is wait for after a while that the game has released, and if It still doesn't work great get a Ryzen 5 3600 and a b450 motherboard, or what's best in price to performance in the game benchmarks. No point in getting an i7 if you have to change the motherboard too

A question... Can I get a better mother board ??? Like ASUS B 360F Gaming motherboard ?? Will there be a significant improvement in performance if i just change the motherboard and keep everything else same ??? Like this one ??? Will there be atleast improvement in performance???

It will probably be very little. I have an Asus prime h310m-k and it boosts my i5 9400f to 3,7ghz all cores compared to the rated 3,9. I don't thing it's going to make a huge difference

So the best option will be to upgrade cpu and mobo .. damn .. i just built pc 6 months ago .. i doubt I’ll be able to get a mobo and cpu as given ... i guess I’ll just pass on the game

You've got a decently thicc gaming rig there, shouldn't have much issue. Breakpoint is just CPU hungry AFAIK, Wildlands is the same way. Massive and gorgeous but they give CPUs hell, that's just due to what the game is trying to do and how the engine runs, your rig's spec is damn solid. Sadly I got rid of my i5 8400 before I got Wildlands (it's basically the same CPU) so I can't give you numbers on that with my 1660 Ti.
