Cheap Build!

Hello my name is Michael and I am in the USA.  I am a recent fan but do what I can to stay caught up as I do not work.  I am permanently disabled and therefore on a strict monthly income.  I have a Gateway DX4860 6GB DD3 from 2012 that I use as my daily and gaming rig.  I have made some modifications suck as adding a GeForce 660 2 years ago and a 250GB SSD for my games, as well as a 500W PS from Seasonic as my old one too a crap.  The PS is currently sitting on top of my case as the old PS was riveted into the case.  I play very few games but I would love to get the best out of my rig.  

 

The games I play: World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, World of Warships, FrostPunk, and some classic RTS game like C&C Red Alert 3 and some Browser based games that are not graphic or money centric.  I also like to play Starcraft II on occassion.  What would be the ultimate cheap build that would satisfy my gaming needs as well as my lust for 3d Modeling in Blender 2.8.  I am desperate for some help, I have built systems in the past and was in Tech support for many years prior to becoming disabled  (below waist mobility and Brain Function ( lack of memory and concentration) as well as emotion instability).  I would ask that Linus and his group address this in a video for those of us that can't do the crazy and need to either update an old system, or at least recommend the best options.  I am also looking forward to the community tp get involved as you have many wonderful ideas.

Start by mentioning your budget, how cheap is cheap enough.

You can upgrade the CPU to the i7 2600 or the 2600K pick whatever is cheaper between the two,

For a GPU i would recommend: HD 7970,R9 280X,or the R9 380 4GB pick whatever is cheaper between them,You can spend more for a RX 470 if you want more performance for cheap.

 

With all the upgrades i recommended you should be able to play any game at 1080p,even the most demanding games of 2019.
