RAM Question

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

1. It's probably Samsung or SK Hynix, depending on what they had on hand when manufacturing. Corsair doesn't produce their own memory chips, so they buy what they can. Typically when looking at a motherboard QVL you see Corsair memory mentioned as "Ver 3.31" or something, which is a version code only present on the memory packaging.

2. If you need 32GB, it could very well be worth it. Usually the performance hit with 3000Mhz over 3466Mhz is not that much either. Same sort of story for the memory part.

What die does this RAM have?

and is it better to go for this or the 32gb 3000MHz cl15 RAM?

also what die is this too

Would speed matter more than CL? or the other way around?

What about CL timings? is there much of a difference between the 2?

Even if someone had your exact kit of memory sadly it could still be using different memory

I can find you a decent kit of memory if you want for 32GB. Key things to look for i would aim for 16 or lower timings and 3600mhz memory i wouldn't go under 3200mhz.

Cas latency and Mhz go hand-in-hand. You want the Mhz as high as possible, the CAS as low as possible.

Anyways, since these memory kits are kind of opposite with those numbers, it kind of balances out.

Well lately i have been finding 3600mhz memory to be cheaper then even 3200mhz 14 timings.

IMO that's not a bad deal to make you understand haha i spent that much for my ram which is 16GB at 3600mhz at 15 timings. I drove to Microcenter like 2 hours away to get it as it was the best ram they had. Now you can get Ryzen certified memory at twice the capacity for that cost.

Also this memory will work great on Intel too so you have no worries if you own a intel build

If you have a Intel build you can save some cash and get this
