Max Payne 2 Worth Picking Up?

DJ46

I know 3 is around, but I heard it's a bit derpy. And 2 is on sale for 2.50€. It's an older game. It seems to be my style of a game - pick up a gun and shoot all the mother****ers you can see + slowmotion.

Could someone tell me the basics of this game? I'm interested in everyy information - what weapons you can have, vehicles, soundtrack...

buy buy buy, I bought 1 & 2 to get the feeling of the game before playing 3, I enjoyed the 1 and 2 sooo much, I've only played 3 for half an hour. :-)

Definitely worth playing. I preferred Max Payne 1 because the story was more interesting. Max Payne 2 has much better gameplay, but I felt like the story was somewhat annoying.

OK, thanks for the response. If I will play only 2, will I miss on a lot of the story? Or it doesn't matter if you haven't played 1?

The first one does have some crucial parts to the story that continues in number 2 and there are some references in number 3 also. So I would suggest you get it, especially since they are so cheap on Steam currently. Both games are around 6-8 hours each. If you really don't want to play Max Payne 1, well you are missing out, but you could probably find a summary of the story somewhere and get the main parts of the story from that; though I strongly recommend you just pickup both of them.
