not really, but in 1.7 it runs at way lower fps, and more fps means better texture packs, shaders, and other things like that.

I get like 60-70 fps with my setup.  I think the main problem is the massive lag you get when switching worlds or using redstone.

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!

Minecraft benchmarks are pointless because of the way the games handles chunks

minecraft runs on a potato if it musts.. though lowering all the settings and seeing fps rocket above 1000 is interesting

Yes, I have seen many comments on benchmark videos asking for minecraft benchmarks.

To be honest I don't think people care about minecraft benchmarks because it doesn't demonstrate the performance of current generation graphics cards, 100fps or 1000 fps, it doesn't matter. I know my 780ti can run minecraft at 1000fps but that's nothing more than "yeah, that's cool" and then its just boring. Its much more interesting to see a brand new game that is extremely graphically intensive that still runs at playable frame rates.

Care to let me in on the joke? Is that supposed to be me talking? Or are you just that honest about your life, it helps if you actually structure your sentence so its easily readable. PS I'm almost 19, I can legally do what I want, even if I did live with my parents.

I'm on a tablet, so it is harder to type, and yes, that is actually how it is for me. FYI I'm 14, so I can't do whatever I want.
