Ok...

My problem,

My system was previously working... I got my graphics card and was excited to use it. I installed my graphics card and went to power my PC on, all I got was a PSU clicking noise and motherboard LED’s, which vanished immediately and silence returned.

I’ve tried every troubleshoot I can think of, besides removing the CMOS battery, which I was told not to, by MSI, and nothing has worked. After further troubleshooting we figured out that the EZ Debug LED’s on my motherboard were telling us I were having an issue with my CPU. It was the only light flashing indicating an issue with the CPU directly.

I ordered a new CPU, thinking for sure that would fix it (I got the i5-9600k) and it did nothing. I installed it, hit the power button and got the same exact result. At this point, I really am fed up and don’t know exactly what to do besides swap parts part at a time (which parts I don’t personally have). I’m thinking about taking it to a local tech shop or something and letting them try some different RAM and see if that works. P.S I have tested my PSU directly with a testing tool and it’s in working condition.

Please, if you think you may know what my issue is, I would appreciate your feedback.

Thank you,

Harrison

You need to update the BIOS before you can use the 9600K on a Z370 board, so if the BIOS wasn't updated then that CPU won't work regardless, I suggest taking it to a PC shop and let them update the BIOS for you and test the board if it actually works or not

Could also be a PSU issue though or that something is shorting, take it to a PC shop either way
