I been dealing and tinkering with PCs since 2010 lol my first major tinker was an old P4 with HT machine back in 2010 I messed with and learned a lot from hands-on experience

my recent build my Ryzen 2400G Media PC where I use as a mobile media pc to play video games and have all my bootleg movies and tv shows on and plan to use an 8tb hard drive to have a back up of a back of all my files

But for a while, I would get soft system crashes, and the system would freeze for up to 5 minutes or so, so started with making sure thermal paste was good, then replaced the PSU knowing it was an older PSU and got a new TFX case for my system. As I really like the console look as it can fit in any tv media center, and the new TFX case came with an Antec 80+ Bronze PSU and system would still freeze, then it leads me to two other possibilities the SSD or RAM.

As with Crystal Disk Info reported the SSD to be 98% healthy and no errors, I kept assuming it was fine, then when I replaced the HDD in my sons PC a Q9650,8GB 800mhz Ram and a Dell OEM RX 550 4gb. The Q9650 surprisingly it holds up great in 2019 for everyday general use maybe not as much gaming but overall a nice Budget PC to tinker with.

When I get a cheap $40 Kingston A400 SSD I originally was going to use it for my sons pc but decided to use it for my Ryzen 2400G media PC, and surprisingly I have not had any soft system freezes since replacing the SSD, Granted the old ss in the system might have been from 2014.

I was relieved to find out that it wasn't the ram as I do like the aesthetics of a 4x4 configuration for ram knowing well in advance that I will only get the dual-channel performance and any upgrade will require a whole new kit. I like the 4x4gb kit I have plus it may not have been compatible with Ryzen but again was relieved to find out that the replacement SSD fixed the soft system freezes
