850 va??it is about 480 watts

If your power supply is active PFC you will need a sine wave UPS. Most UPS units output a square wave that will not work with most Active PFC power supplies. I had that problem so I got a "Pure Sine Wave" UPS. No more issues.

That should work. What do the instructions say about the initial charge? I know that my 1500 had to be charged for 24 hours with nothing plugged into it.

look,i need a ups for 2 reasons.first of all i dont wanna see any of my hardware dead and 2nd i want to save my job 1-2 mins and shut the pc down thats all for me

requirement at that voltage is 630VA. 850VA should be enough.
