Hi i have an old pc wich takes forever to start up or open anything.

It has Always been in a very moist room. If i take a look in taskmanager the cpu usage is between 0-20% and the ram usage is around 40%.

I am thinking the hdd has become very slow or something but is there any way to check this?

These are the specs of the pc https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/471250/hp-prodesk-400-g3-mt-p5k00ea-(nl)/specificaties/.

You can try using crystaldisk mark or userbenchmark which directly compares it to other identical drives.

If i were you though i'd just get a cheap ssd, install windows 10 on it and call it a day

Yes i was thinking that to but idk if its the drive that causes it or something else

The HDD is the bottleneck on desktop performance. Get an SSD and install the OS on that and you are going to have a much much snappier experience

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
