My friend is switching from Xbox to a PC, he mainly plays Overwatch and other FPS based games.

Here is what i have so far

PRICES FROM MICROCENTER

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 $79.99

MOBO: Asrock B450m $44.99

Ram: G.Skill Ageis 16GB DDR4 3000 $67.99

GPU: Either a 1650 or a RX570 $120-160

PSU: CX650M $84.99

SSD/HDD: WD Blue 500GB $64.99

Case: Thermaltake Versa H17 $44.99

Would this be fine for the games he plays or should i make some adjustments.

Thanks.

Swap the HDD for a SSD. You may pay a couple bucks more but it's WELL worth it in the long run.

Then OP should get one. I assumed the one listed was a regular mechanical drive, since a 500GB solid state for $65 seemed a little low. But without consulting the Google that was just a guess on my part.

for a sata SSD, $65 is pretty high already considering nvme 500GB SSDs start at $55.

These are great performing nvme drives for almost the price of lower end QLC drives.

I have a dead one sitting on my wall. so
