After fresh install, make all updates, install drivers, install the basic software like 7zip, winamp, notepad++, office software, etc whatever you usually need, then after that is done, clean up the system drive from old updates (with the assistant).

 

THEN do a backup.

Don't do something if you don't know anything about it.

 

You can find many articles why using registry cleaners has no sense.
