Hey guys so i'm trying to sculpt for the first time in blender and i cant find an answer for this so any help is much appreciated, so i am trying to enable dynamic typology but when ever i do it destroys my mesh and makes it look aweful and then when i draw it is crazy pixelated example below. (the error that pops up is because i have a UV map, but i disabled it and fixed the error but it still ruined my mesh) thanks guys!

Dynamic Topology alters your mesh to fit detail, most often with triangles. It is good for sculpts where you don't know the final detail level, such as entirely random sculpts (set it and forget), but it is the wrong tool for making a final model. You'd want either the subsurf modifier, or you build your final mesh from your sculpt.

Do you have the Sub-surf on in modifiers? This is how it looks for me when I use dynamic topology:image.png.3744e64422f954fbbf70cacfffe83804.png

This is how it looks after I disabled dynamic topology and re-enabled the sub-surf:image.png.46ba866bdbdb71c646b3434c38142549.png

You don't have to use the dynamic topology, you just select sculpt mode and use subtract:image.png.6eaba99c3de9bba4934bb27c7228f45f.png

Also Blenderguru used a smaller brush radius and I think he used a drawing tablet, so the strength is based on pressure.
