My computer just randomly shut down.

I’ve been having nothing but problems with this build.

 

so first ever game I played rainbow 6 1 round fine second round shut down

last thing I did was enable the amd version of xmp on my mobo and set my ram to 3600 left timings and stuff at default could thst be thenissue?

 

is this something I should be worried about? I will try again now and say if anything happens.

Currently running unigine at same time as cpu z benchmark and monitoring temps

That board guarantees accepting 3200mhz ram, anything above that is luck.  Id downclock to 3200mhz and see if that fixes it.  If its just a black screen restart its likely memory frequency incompatibility.

i just run benchmarks and stuff all seemed fine.

 

is there some sort of memtest that doesnt require you to boot of a usb and all that hard work?? nobody say its not hardwork it is for me lol.

Download AMD Ryzen DRAM Calculator - it includes a @ Windows memtest.

@The Torrent my RR2 in sig passes all benches @ 3600mhz no problem - board and chip are rated for (CPU) 2666mhz guaranteed and (mobo) 2933mhz (iirc) - memtest captures errors and once a night I get a black screen.  If I am doing a long session of competitive gameplay with friends I will actually downclock to ensure 100% reliability (since its competitive) - but like playing WoW Classic last few days zero crashes @ 3600mhz

Is there a easy way to downclock or is only way bios?

 

i run Windows mem diagnostic it found nothing running the amd thing now.

BIOS only - I haven't ever used Win mem diagnostics not sure if it would capture these issues - I do know that I don't like doing the thumb stick thing either and the DRAM calc mem test is what I use as well.

All this where to put threads hurt my head. I thought should I put it in troubleshooting but then I thought I’m not trying to find a problem I’m trying to find out if there is a problem but then I thoughtnisnt that still troubleshooting but then I Thought and idk how it ended up in general.

yeah, its not just this thread, mate. just think about what your thread involves and create that thread in the appropriate forum. general discussion is that general format with no real place to fit that doesn't have a forum for discussion.
