stop default route creation ubuntu 1804

I got a ubuntu server running with 2 NICs. The issue i have is it keeps creating a default route for the secondary NIC every week and changing the metric on the default route i want it to use which knocks off all web sites. Any ideas how to stop it?

ok think its ok now but dont know how to do it for static assigned interfaces

following that thread it looks to be ok when both are DHCP assigned interfaces dont understand how to apply it for static assignments
