hey guys, I have an external HDD . so i want to use that as my home network drive or something similar so all of our devices can access it. Even if my main computer is turned off. can u guys help me with this or point me to the direction of how i can do this?

You can hook it up to your router, if you have USB ports. But I think this can hit or miss. Or you can buy some kind of NAS and connect the drive via Ethernet.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Another option is to use some type of Raspberry Pi and setup a SAMBA share on it pointing to the HDD.

If it'd be wireless the performance wouldn't be great but it'd get the job done.
