Buying an RX 580

Aaralli

I'm about to buy an XFX RX 580 8GB Black Edition. It will be used in a computer for my father, with a Ryzen 5 3400g, B450 board, 16gb 300mhz RAM, and 650 Watt power supply. He doesn't play the newest games until they go on sale a few years after they come out, so even if he bought a new game right now, it should still be playable on this card, right? Alright so my question is, Is there any reason I should reconsider buying this exact card?

if you want to use a ryzen 3000 you need to update the bios with an ryzen 2000 processor or have a motherboard with bios flash button, that make the bios update without memory / cpu... msi tomahawk it's a good one

Or request a boot kit from AMD support to borrow a CPU

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

OH Yeah I knew that already... I thought he was talking about updating the BIOS specifically because of the graphics card.
