BIOS error code (old Abit mobo)

I still have an old system with a Q6600 with an Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i mobo thats been giving me problems. I try to boot up the system, but it instead gives me code 87 and one long beep followed by 3 short beeps, runs for a few secs, then quits on me. Abit.ws says the PSU may be the culprit. But my Raidmax PSU hasn't been giving me problems before. WTF causes this? It is a 750W modular PSU.

1 long, 3 short Conventional/Extended memory failure

 

On the Abit website, it says PSU failure or no 4-pin CPU IDied.

Then it is the PSU, There is no select reason why it died but it just happens over time.

Or it might mean the other 4pin. Like my old Abit had 24pin and 4pin (or 6pin, can't remember) and that might not be connected.

What do you mean? I mean, I only have a 20+4 pin and an 8 pin, with a molex supplemental pwr.

I meant the 8pin so nvm.

 

OK, well, I just found out, that the 8 pin wasnt connected. But now the pain of trying to reinsert it is more than the pain of not starting up. It IS a real pain in the ass.

nope, its the top left. It is a PAIN in the ass to get it back in.
