no, I would wait until 4k or 1440p becomes cheaper :)

So basically 1680 x 1050 is still considered a respectable resolution these days? I got my monitors many years ago so I'm surprised. Also, would I be wasting the potential of my 7970 by playing games at 1680x1050?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I wouldn't buy 1080p monitors if you already have that setup, but the best bet might be going to a store and seing if they're any better than what you have at the moment :)

I'd say if your current monitor is a crappy tn then it could be. Otherwise probably not.
