Hi Guys/Girls so i recently upgraded to a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 motherboard and an i5 4670K and yeah the stock cooler isn't keeping it cool in times of intense gaming so i want to buy an aftermarket cooler. My options are the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 LED or the Deepcool Gammaxx  400. My case is the Cougar Mx330G and according to the specifications it's max cpu height is 155mm so I'd like to settle on the Hyper 212 LED but I'm not sure if there will be any clearance issues. Some places on the Internet says it will fit so I'm confused and would like to hear opinions from other.

If i have to settle with the Deepcool gammaxx 400 will there be clearance issues with the Ram since it's a bit closer to the motherboard than the Hyper 212.

Thanks in advance.

CPU: i5 4670k @4.1ghz | GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB | MB: Gigabyte Z97P-D3H | RAM: 4x4GB Generic | SSD: Gigabyte 240GB

PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 650 watt | Case: Cougar MX330G

There wil be clearance. Since the heatsink itself does now overlap the RAM slots it's not a problem. The fan might hit the RAM thought but you can just move the fan up a bit and it should fit. :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Which one, Hyper 212 or the Gammaxx 400? ? And how is the case? How's the cooling performance?

Cougar MX330-G. It is very long and i have a micro atx motherboard so it looks silly, like half of the case is unused. It comes with a fan in the rear and the cpu temperature never crosses 60C on load. I mean you can add 4 more fans if you want.

I saw some reviews on amazon(with photos) and it didnt look like you would have any problems with the Hyper 212 led. It wasnt that big.

I have a Atx board so don't think I'll have that problem. I have three fans I'm going to use in the case and I'm also going to do a bit of modification to the case.
