I am new to pc gaming and i dont really understand drivers but if i get the mantle driver do i have to manualy switch it to mantle for in case i want to use dx11 on a non mantle game

currently mantle is working on a benchmark and bf4(when the amd driver comes). In both you go in video settings and choose mantle or dx11. Then restart the game.

if the game supports mantle it will run it automatecly caus teh diveloper has perioretised the mantle over the dx11

for now only BF4 support personely i 'de stick to DX11

No, if you have the driver it just supports Mante it doesn't force it on all of your games When you have the 14.1 drivers and a game supports Mantle you can choose in the menu betweet Mantle and DirectX11

i know but as standerd the game "BF4" will run on mantle

As far as i've seen you need to switch to Mantle and restart the game

i don't know my version came in mantle , i think it's down to thee driver you 've got currently

The AMD drivers aren't even out yet so i don't think you can have Mantle already, the BF4 update came with Mantle technology for Battlefield 4 but there are no released drivers yet so it isn't supported.. I think it is kinda sketchy that you have Mantle enabled and supported..
