My current Gigabyte board has Duel Bios and this has saved me at times when my bios got corrupted. I simply restore from the backup one.

I am planning to move to X570 Board with 3700X CPU. I can see there is a board such as Crosshair VIII which has this type of recovery. Are there other options please where one can recover from a corrupt bios? If possible, I need 8 SATA ports on the Board.

Most of the X570 boards have a BIOS Flashback feature wich allows you to re-flash the BIOS if it ever becomes corrupt. Kinda like Dual BIOS, but the user providing the second BIOS with a USB instead of it being on the board itself.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

do you need all 8, or can you use an add-in card to get more?

there are chipset lanes avavible to have an add-in card.

Thanks. Worth a thought. Gives a lot more choice for motherboards.
