Computer losing signal/crashing

Hi, my computer has a weird random crashing problem. When i play videogames/heavyload the computer is suddenly losing signal och crashing after like 5-10 minutes.

This started happening when i switched to a z97 motherboard so i switched to my old z87 motherboard and it stopped happening for some months but now it's back.

I have stress test CPU,GPU and run Memtest but no specific problem, also tried different 970's.

Also when the computer have crashed and i restart it says "reconnect gpu pci-e cables", sometimes just a simple restart or reconnecting the cables will get the computer running again.

Can it be the PSU maybe?

This is driving me nuts since some days it won't happen and it's hard to troubleshoot.

 

Specs :

MB : Asus Z87-a

RAM : Corsair 16gb 1600mhz
CPU : i5 4690k cpu

GPU : GTX 970

PSU : Corsair 650w

Does sound like unstable pcie power. Is your PSU under warranty still?

It is a Corsair HX650w from 2010-2011 so no warranty. But sure it sounds like a PSU problem the more i think about it.

Do you have a friend with a PSU you could borrow?

They all have laptops but i'm considering upgrade the computer basically with psu,mb,cpu,gpu and ram. Maybe it's a sign of old components that is starting to show up.
