New build: dram led issue

premi

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I built my new computer and I have been troubleshooting the issue with dram led since then. I suspect I have a bad mobo, but idk. When I boot the computer I see the cpu fan and case fans nicely turn on, theres light on the mobo and ram stick, and the dram led is on aswell as the mobo power light.

Specs:

- x470-f motherboard

- AMD r53600x

- Corsair CMK32GX4M2D3200C16 (not at qvl list)

- G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GTZR (idk if ..16GTZ(XMP) is the same)

- Seasonic 850 +80 gold PSU

I think theese parts are the only one of interest to this issue. I imagine ive set up everything as it should, doublechecked all the cables (yes the cpu/psu cable is connected), tried both of the different ram sticks in every slot, booted without ram, and redid the cpu (all the pins looked fine). I unfortunately dont have a system speaker avaible.

I've tried to boot the build with all parts connected and only the nescessary (cpu + ram), but the dram led is still on. I have no idea whats the issue and I prefer to fix this myself as if i send it to the retainer I have to wait like ten days or so :( Any help are greatly appreciated!

imo it's just bios incompatibility. X470 didnt launch with 3rd gen compatibility and your board is likely made before 3rd gen bios update has gone past pre-release state.
