Constant smudges on Oculus Rift

I know, this is a stupid question...I am finding that I can never get the Oculus lenses completely smudge free with the cloth they provided. Is it okay to use glasses lens cleaner or has anybody else found a way to completely get the lenses smear-free?

a mildly damp micro fiber cloth with soap and water on it to clean it then an another micro fiber to dry it
