Well the choice was made for me apparently.

At the store here the be-quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 1200W is out of stock and the CORSAIR HX Series -HX1200 is on back order till November.

So had to go with the Seasonic PRIME 1300 Gold SSR-1300GD 1300W instead...

Still it is an upgrade from this current PSU and AMD FX build for use in this new Ryzen system build:

Antec High Current Gamer HCG-900, 80 PLUS BRONZE, 900 Watt Power Supply

Reviewers often miss "OTP protection" if they don't see it on the secondary IC.  But common practice is to use the thermistor used for fan control to report back to the PWM controller that the temps are too high and to shut down.
