Hello!

I am planning to build my little cousin a computer. He is mainly going to be using the internet and internet-based games (e.g Cool math games, Nitro type) I do not know what specs to do. He won’t be playing video games just the online games. I also need it fast enough for his parents to purchase products and surf the web. Appreciate all the responses.

buy a prebuilt for this as it'll save a lot of money.  a used workstation goes for under 300 something with 8-16gb of ram and a previous gen upper end xeon will do fine theres a million of them on ebay

I don’t want it to be a used product. It will be a gift for his birthday. I also want something that i built for him.

just keep in mind that a low cost new machine will be slower and use far cheaper parts than a previous gen high end machine. also keep in mind that your listed requirements are so light that most any computer from the past 9-10 years will be able to do the tasks you mentioned.

start off with a budget so people can assemble something around that , although again i wouldn't be spending to much on this build
