playonlinux with Steam OS.

Has anyone tried using playonlinux (http://www.playonlinux.com/en/) with steamOS yet?

if you're wondering what it is, it basically works as a program to find the best settings for running the game through wine on linux and sets it up.

I was thinking there would already be a video about it, since it has a pretty big set of compatable games, and most scripts allow you to download and install the game right from steam.

Keep in mind that it's probably not going to be implemented right into steamOS in the future because it's under GPL3,  but a similar solution will likely be implemented by valve for a few games.

It likely shouldn't be hard to get working if you haven't used it already, since it's supposedly debian based.

I'm not saying I want to do this myself, since I'm already running a linux machine.

I'm just wondering what sort of compatability and experience other people are getting with the install scripts. That was one of the first things I was expecting with steamOS when it was first anounced.

It'll obviously work, and experiences would be pretty much the same as running Playonlinux on any Linux distribution. Individual performance would depend on the game and wine version it's running on. You can read through the above discussions to see how people have dealt with Playonlinux.
