YouTube async on Pop!_OS VirtualBox

When I try to watch YouTube, the sound is a bit behind. My host is a W10 with a R5 3600, a 1070 and 16GB RAM. I gave my VM 8GB and half my cores. VirtualBox and the OS are on the latest version.

Well the virtual gpus in vms just aren't great, thats a good chunk of the issue.

 

Try hyper-v in windows?

 

Is the 3d accerlation enabled?

try switching the VM’s sound device from the default ich6 to ac97

I can't activate hyper-v (apparently only on W10 Pro and above) and 3d acceleration is enabled.
