So I just got a new R5-3600 and a Gigabyte motherboard.... the only issue is that the motherboard only has 2 fan headers (other than the CPU and CPU_OPT fan headers that I'm already using) and I have 4 fans I'd like to plug.

Are there any PWM fan controllers you all would recommend?

Thanks for the help!

Grab a sata powered pwm splitter off amazon or ebay. They work fine and cheap enough.

Main PC CPU: 7700K, MOBO: Asus Strix, GPU: Aorus Extreme 3080, PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Storage: 970 Evo 1tb

Lounge PC CPU: 4790K MOBO: Asus Hero VII GPU: EVGA 3060 Ti PSU: Corsair RM650 RAM: Kingston HyperX 16gb Storage: 970 Evo 1TB

So my understanding is that even a PWM splitter won't allow for individual control of the fans, correct?

I did notice that some of the Noctua fans come with a splitter so maybe I'll just replace my fans.

Never seen a splitter being delivered with a Noctua fan. Low noice adapters (series resistor) are included though.

Yeah, mobo can only see and control one per header. Usually that's not big deal. Like you have intake fans on one header, exhausts on another and CPU cooling on third. Only thing to note is to use same model per header for best results.

I can't remember if fans come with any. Coolers have them. But splitters are really cheap accessory to get.

I think it was a Noctua NF-F12 fan, it had the splitter and low voltage adapter those rubber mounting things and an extension cable.
