New PSU "groans"

Aorusz390 wifi, I5 9600K, 2133 x 32gb g skill, 1070Ti,

and, so far, 2 x ST100 Pt silverstone psu's, (one already replaced.)

 

In far cry new dawn when I pause and resume the game you can clearly hear the psu groan and stop.

I have been offered a third silverstone or a corsair rm1000x,,

 

my real question is,, as both these psu's are already a 4 year old design, is there any reason to try a newly released model....
