Hi.

I just got my new EVGA RTX 2080TI XC Ultra the problem is at 1080p im gettin avg. 90 fps Highs settings in GTA5, avg.90 fps Ultra 1080p Insurgency:Sandstorm.

Weird thing is even at 4k Im getting the same fps in GTA5, it stays avg.90fps.

 

Im running i7 5820k 4.1Ghz oced and 16GB 2133Mhz ram.

 

Non of my CPU cores went beyond 70% usage.

From what I've read up, the 5820k with an overclock of anything less that 4.3ghz will run like that with the 2080ti, is it possible for you to overclock it to 4.3ghz or higher? If not I'd say it's probably time for a CPU upgrade.

I tried to go with 4.3 but when running stress test CPU temp goes beyond 80C so I turned it down.

Dang that's a pretty beefy cooler, if that can't keep it cool then that 5820k gets wicked hot.

It might be my fault too Im not that experienced oc'ing CPU. I turned the Core Voltage up to 1.2 maybe i should go with lower voltage but I don't really know.

Iirc tjmax on those is like 105c

 

In a stress test anything under that is probably fine
