Fan/RGB Hub Noob Question

I bought a Maingear Vybe case and an X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming motherboard. The case has a fan hub on the back and didn't come with any instructions. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to plug this cable in the middle of the hub in or what it does. I assumed it was for the fan's rgb at first, but I don't see any lights on my fans. I don't see anything like this on my motherboard and I can't imagine it plugs into it's own board. What do I do with this?

 

Everything seems to work fine without it. The front of my case lights up and works with the remote control and all the fans seem to run fine, though I can't tell if the speed change on the remote works.

its a rgb connector. you can see there is another similar cable plugged in the fan hub next to it. the rgb port on your board is right next to the front audio port

you only need to connect that if you want to control the leds with your board.

Thanks, I see what's going on now. I thought the pins were too big, but it's actually the plastic around the pins next to it blocking me from plugging it in.

 

Which LEDs would I need this for? Just anything that is plugged into the motherboard? Would this effect my cpu heat sink lights, RAM light or strips?
