Hi, I'm trying to get a quiet wired mouse with some functionality buttons and a palm grip. If possible that are durable and don't tend to intake dust.

I came across these options, so I'd like opinions comparing these:

  • G502

  • Roccat Nyth

  • Utech Smart Venus

  • Tenmos K85

  • Other ?

Im also open to (and interested in) another ergonomic or mice with a secondary wheel to adjust volumen.

Thanks.

for gaming you would want something light as well as having a good sensor and good response times. for productivity sensor matters less

I guess the one thats better then, as long as its reasonably quiet and has enough gimmics to entertain me for a while.

The g502 is on the louder side. But mice aren't loud so.. But is very tactile and a ton of gimmicks. It's a Great mouse.

Hehe, well, i built my pc so quiet that you can't tell if its on or off, and my keyboard with silent lubed franken-switches, so my mouse if by far the loudest thing in the room.

What gimmics would it be? i meant like extra wheels-erognomic-whatever thingy.

Thanks for the input.

Would you happen to know about ergonomic mice?

A little bit I used to use the MX master for school cause used to do a lot of cad , investor and programming. When that broke I got myself a g502 almost the same ergonocally just a little narrower i find. The MX master has too much latency and suffers from the sma issues as the 502 for gaming

So the g502 is bad for gaming?

I know that wireless nice are bad in general

Wireless mice espey from Logitech are great for gaming. The 502 is really good for gaming great for amllmost anything except for competitive shooters

No, they are not. Not all of them to say the least.

In general they need to be recharged or buy new batteries. Battery life becomes an issue and they have more latency.

Unless as far as I know.

I don't see why would people get a wireless mouse unless they wanted to use their computer from another room

They as in all, don't have more latency, some of them do. I have my wireless mouse for around 3 months, did not charge it once or changed the batteries. People get wireless because they want less wires, at least me, plenty of wires as it is. Using computer from another room? How does it work? Monitor and PC in one room, mouse in another? Does not make sense at all...

That's what I say, I have a friend that uses a wireless mouse and his excuse is wanting to use the PC from his bed

That makes more sense than using PC from another room, I also use my mouse while in bed sometimes.

  • The wire can become a nuisance at times (mine gets caught on my mousepad and causes a bit of drag)
  • It looks cleaner
  • As you've mentioned, you can use it further away from the computer
  • It's more mobile for people that play on the move

They have their drawbacks of course:

  • Usually heavier than wired mice
  • Need to be charged
  • More expensive

The only wireless manufacturer that I can easily recommend for gaming is Logitech.  They've pretty much perfected the technology to the point where the difference in latency between the wired and wireless mouse is negligible/non-existant.

Wireless mice can be rechargable and thet last week without charging some mice even have wireless charging and can be charged through the mouse pad.

I would also add as a con:

Running out of battery during a crucial moment.

The fear of running out of battery at an important moment.

Batteries not having infinite recharges.

Curiously, I don't see a problem with weight. And always found cables very easy to manage/hide.

Or you know... just keep it charged?  The mouse can tell you how much charge is left and you can use it while its charging.  You can also get replacement batteries for the mouse.

Edit: I'm refering to Logitech here.  Their wireless tech is the best
