Any experience with lineageOs on the Xiaomi Redmi note 7?

Decided to go with the note 7 as my next  phone but considering the stuff that's been going on with Huawei (Yes I know Xiaomi is not part of Huawei) and the amount of complaints I've seen about  Miui I've been considering flashing it with lineageOs. The only issue I have is that I've heard you loose the ability to shoot in 48 mp mode with lineage, even in Google camera. Whereas, using Gcam in Miui has 48mp mode.This is kinda important to me because I'm an artist and the camera was one of the biggest reasons I went with this phone. Can anyone confirm this issue? Are there any other notable bugs with this phone & lineage? Or is Mui really not as bad as I've heard?

Well, you will lose all manufacturer software implementations with AOSP based roms that has been the case from the beginning. If you wanted an AOSP experience with amazing camera, should have gotten Pixel 3. I would try using something like Camera FV5 in LOS first though.
