Minor Issues

So, I've recently just built my first PC - Specs are as follow (check spoiler)

Graphics Card (MSI Radeon RX 580 8GB)

Power Supply (Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W 80+)

PC Case (Aerocool Cylon Mini MicroATX Mini Tower)

480GB SSD (Kingston A400 480 GB 2.5")

Motherboard (Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4)

Processor (AMD Ryzen 5 2600)

16GB Memory (Ballistix Sport AT 2x8GB DDR4-2666)

 

 

 

 

and I have a few minor issues, as stated in the thread title.
The following might be application related;
Discord (discordapp.com) often shows green squares (like this https://support.discordapp.com/hc/user_images/LMh3OGP9tTIUZKCrNQIxCQ.png).

With applications like Fortnite, I often stop receiving audio through my headset when I plugin certain USBs - even when I've previously told my PC that, X USB isn't an audio output.

- There are more Issues I have, although I forgot what they were - I'll keep this thread posted if I do come across other issues.

 

Are there any solutions for these issues?

Have you tried unplugging and re plugging your display cable on both ends? TO me it sounds like either your motherboard or your GPU is faulty.

It's only with certain applications, so It can't be the cable that is faulty.

first of all, have you tried reinstalling discord?

second of all, try installing the latest driver for your sound card (if it's integrated, go to your motherboard's page on the manufacturer's site and download it from there, although i like using IObit Driver booster- it just gets the job done more quickly)

lastly, for the "other problems", try opening command prompt/powershell and type "sfc /scannow". this will scan all system files for corruptency and fix them if needed. it might fix some of these "issues".
