I just want to start this off by saying I DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW TO PIRATE THE SOFTWARE

I recently got a new computer, and when backing up my files, I didn't bother backing up the Adobe CS6 Master Collection suite download file that I had as I assumed I would just be able to redownload it.

However, I've just found out that Adobe have stopped offering CS6 for download unless you purchased it direct from them. You can supposedly contact support for the download link but it's proved unsuccessful.

I have my original box but since my new laptop doesn't have an optical drive it's useless

Does anyone know of any legit places I can download it?

Any friends or family that might have an external optical drive perhaps?

Unfortunately not, I mean I could always just order an external drive on Amazon and get it tomorrow, but I don't really want to

After a lot of digging it seems like any place that did have a link to CS6 now no longer works and contacting support seems to be the only option at this point =/

access to an optical drive tomorrow ? Friend, work, etc.

Make an ISO image, put it on an external HDD or an USB drive and then install it?

I little bit of an hassle, but hey... desperate times!

You won't find any "legit" place to download it anymore.

I little bit of an hassle,

I think that's what its going to have to be!

Either that or resort to doing things that I can't mention on this forum to download the software that I've already bloody paid for!

The versions are not retro-compatible... You need the Adobe CS6 to unlock it with the key you've been given.

you will need then to contact adobe,

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/downloaded-older-app.html

How to download older apps purchased from other stores

If you need to reinstall an older app that you purchased from a non-Adobe store, such as Amazon, Best Buy, or Costco, contact us

You can "hot connect" SATA drive even if you new case won't have bay for it. I've installed OS this way to older PC. Also, external USB isn't that expensive. I got mine for €15 from customer return section.

Unfortunately Adobe Support were less than supportive when I asked. I kept getting passed from one department to another

Like I say, I don't have that laptop anymore. I actually already have plenty of those SATA adapters and they're super useful.

That's reminded me I think I have an SSDs from one of my older computers laying around. I'll see if I can dig that out and hopefully I'll have a copy there!
