so i have a question i recently had 16gb of ram and 1 of my 8gb sticks broke so it cant be used for anymore so i have ordered 16gb (2 x 8gb) sticks my question is the old ram is 2133mhz and the new is 3000mhz is it worth taking out the 8gb stick and just running 16 gb in duel with the new speed or should i just keep all 24gb in and not bother with the duel / new speed thanks in advance

I'd try to oc that 8 gig stick

i tried to up the voltage a bit but it dident help to much and i ran a test called memtest64 and i spat back a ton of errors so idk because the ram is still usable in windows like opening chrome and stuff but crashes when gaming.

You wont need more than 16gb for playing games, i'd go with 3000mhz 16gb. If you're working on your pc it might be better with 24gb

thanks i do alot of stuff on my pc in the background while gaming and i have been stuck with just this 8bg stick for about a week and its been horrible i only used to have 16gb but i was jw if it would be better to just put the extra 8gb in as it is now spare

I'd try 1.4 and slowly step up (2133-2400-2666-2800-2933-3000 and so on)
