Which SSD?

I have a samsung 850 evo sata drive that i got like 2 years ago for my main games, it's only 240gb but it's been really good. i'll keep it in my new build but i'll also get a m.2 since i don't have to cable manage and the price difference isn't that much. But i want an NVMe drive for boot and video editing, but not sure how fast it needs to be, if it's worth paying the extra for the corsair/samsung drive or if i should go with the larger intel

Go with lager intel. Than will be fine unless you want to 4k and shit. And here its not so much the editing but more the moving of those big files. But for me the much higher capacity is worth it over the small perf boost.

The 660P is a great drive.....until its not haha. Its super cheap, the $/GB ratio is crazy good, but Linus reviewed it a few months ago, and shows that depending on your workload, it can actually be slower than a traditional platter-based drive (once the cache gets filled up).

I think its a GREAT drive if you're informed about this limitation, and you're fine with it. If you buy it because "its a 99 dollar 1TB SSD" and you try to run massive files off it, you're gonna have a bad time. A crappy XPG or WD Blue will outpace the 660P all day long under heavy workloads.

That's nonsense. This is how the 660p compares to a HDD:

Not sure if i'll move files that are that large, but i think i'll go for the corsair 1tb model, it's only 40€ more and much better specs

Not a bad idea for your workload.

Even Linus did a video on how bad the 660P sucks for certain workloads.

It's a great video to watch. He even has pictures to show why it sucks UNDER CERTAIN WORKLOADS

Anandtech is a much better source of information. And you'll notice it's uniformly better across a very wide variety of workloads; usually a LOT better.
