Looks solid but I would opt for an air cooler over a liquid cooler. Also, get an ssd boot drive.

Why not pick up this version of that motherboard and ditch the PCI wireless adapter?

I think it's pretty damn good for what you pay. However, I would strongly encourage you to go for at least 1440p resolution. I can't vouch for 4k since I've never tried, maybe others can provide their insight but your config will handle 1440p with ease and it makes quite the difference! It's only 100$ extra and in 144Hz as well.

get a HP EX900 instead of the crucial P1, and an X570-P instead of the phantom gaming 4.

I probably should have clarified that I needed a motherboard with wireless networking.

the phantom gaming 4 has a crappy VRM, so get a pci-e wifi adapter or an X570 TUF wifi instead.

  • I kept your AIO, assuming that you like it for aesthetic purposes. I then built a full RGB build around it :)
  • B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC includes a wireless adapter, full RGB, BIOS Flash, and great VRM heatsinks. You won't lose any performance there.
  • 660p is a very solid budget NVMe SSD
  • I suggest waiting a few weeks for non reference coolers on the 5700XT. SAPPHIRE tends to make great units for AMD cards.
  • I like this case more, especially in combo with this AIO. Very sexy.
  • Upraded the PSU for less $$
  • Upgraded monitor

Not at that price, and capacity, literally any other TLC nvme ssd beats it  , except crap like adata sx6000,kingston A1000 etc. Refer to this ssd tier list for more info (not mine btw) https://imgur.com/a/sYmbnMr (also switch tier 4 and 5 on nvme, creator himself said to do so)

Except the 650w  over 550w is completely useless, given that his build will consume something like 400-450 watt at max..

There,s literally a VA 144hz for cheaper (AOC C24G1), and you still decide to go with that TN one , with much worse colors??

I don,t see it on sale anywhere. And the 550w version is 70$ on newegg..

27" > 24"

I have no indication based on reviews that the colors are poor on the Acer model. Where exactly are you getting your information?

If the answer is anything more than your ass, I'd bee happy to have a look.

Until then quoting 2 consecutive times to random bits of a solid build is not something I'm going to bother responding to further.

Depends how far OP sits from his/her desk , if he/she sits too close 27" could make the pixels look too large...

easy , VA beats TN in color reproduction https://www.techspot.com/article/1788-display-tech-compared/

I didn,t say the colors are necesarily poor on the Acer model, just not as good as the VA AOC one.

I had that Acer monitor. It pretty dim.

I'll recommend something like this instead...

The stock cooler does a great job when it come to cooling.

I have added in a board with onboard wifi.

Get aib version of 5700xt, as the blower style models have problems with thermals.

I'll strongly recommend you to get that meshify c case. It has great airflow.

RGB PSU, coz why not?

Upgraded you to a 1440p 144hz monitor.

Windows key can be obtained fr pretty cheap from sites like kinguin, scdkey and eBay.

Lol, I hate people picking out flaws in every PSU.

Last year focus plus and g3 were everyone's favorite and suddenly everyone stopped recommending them.

Focus plus had issues with killing PC hardware.

OCP is a thing, but still. There are people using these PSUs and haven't burnt their houses.

These PSUs are fine.

Doesn,t mean that they,re good. High inrush current can trip circuit breakers/fuse, and can damage relays/switches...

Bitfenix Formula Gold 550. Before you say its nonmod, let me tell u that modularity does not matter at all  with cases with psu shrouds.. You can tuck the extra cable usually only 2 back in the shroud + ziptie em

So the same brightness settings as a supposedly better colored unit equate to dimness?

Would you rather have purchased a 3" smaller monitor with the same stats and a slightly better color reproduction score?

Was it that bad?

PS the current price on a 550W is $4 less than 650W on newegg.

For $5 I'll take 650W and keep a bit of growing room, thanks.

What an obnoxious thing to list as build critique.

Where do you see $4 difference?? I see $70 vs $80..

And with 650W , probably comes some extra pheripheral cables that OP doesn,t need, extra cables to tuck into the psu shroud..

Inrush current at 230v is around 70A

Also PF is little lower than normal.

As I said, no PSU is perfect.
