Ryzen 3000 BIOS update question

Go to solution Solved by PopsicleHustler,

PC won't give you any signals or error messages if your Bios is not compatible.

Hi guys, need a quick answer here for troubleshooting purposes...

If a motherboard has NOT had its BIOS updated to support the Ryzen 3000 series, will the motherboard attempt to diplay an error message of some sort or will the screen be blank?

Currently trying to get a 3600 to work in a Gigabyte B450M DS3H - I just wanted to test if it would actually turn on (obviously not POST - I had an incompatible mobo before which managed to display an error message back in the Phenom days).

So yeah, should I be expecting an attempt at display output or nah?

Thanks guys!
