Hello everyone, as title days im currently building a pc for live streaming and playing apex legends at 1080p 144 fps.

At moment these are the components that i already have:

PSU Corsair cx550m

RAM Corsair vengeance 16gb 3200mhz

Ssd samsung 860 evo 500gb

Hdd toshiba 1tb

Case sharkoon m 25w

I need the cpu(amd) gpu(i was thinking about the rx 5700xt 3rd party retailer but can go with others if performs better) and a mobo (i was thinking about the b450 tomahawk max that will come out), i need the pc for september Dont need it right Now cause im on vacation.

Budget for CPU GPU AND MOVO is 1000 euro but can get higher if needed thank you.

Ok, idk much about streaming but i think Nvidia has the nvenc encoder which is better than amd's, and you should get a heavily treaded system, so maybe an rtx and a 3700x?

If you are looking for only that 3 parts at a budget of 1000 go for:

2070 SUPER (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Gbvqqs/msi-geforce-rtx-2070-super-8-gb-gaming-x-trio-video-card-rtx-2070-super-gaming-x-trio

Ryzen 7 3700X (stock cooler on that is enough if you don't want to heavily OC: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QKJtt6/amd-ryzen-7-3700x-36-ghz-8-core-processor-100-100000071box)

and a motherboard with an X570 chipset (for example this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nHxbt6/gigabyte-x570-aorus-elite-atx-am4-motherboard-x570-aorus-elite)

With those three products, you'll end up at 1070$ at pcpartpicker prices which is roughly 960€.

btw you should use the NVENC encoder instead of letting the stream run on your CPU

If youre going to be streaming i would recommend Nvidea for the nvec encoder.

Buying a powerful CPU with lots of available threads like the 3700X implies that the OP wants to use CPU based encoding (through a program like OBS) which provides (generally speaking) a higher quality of stream. This is the x264 encoder that utilizes those capabilities.

The NVENC encoder is an interesting prospect for people who have fewer cores/threads, or who are fully occupying their CPU's capabilities through gameplay, since it is run through the GPU. It is an efficient encoding system, and impressive for what it is, however it does OFTEN provide a more artifacted product in terms of the actual video quality if paired against a decent CPU on x264.

So really the question is: 3700X with a GPU that will pull good FPS in games, or a lesser chip with a higher powered nVidia GPU.

In my mind the 3700X currently makes so much more sense from a quality and budgeting standpoint.

A card like the 2060 Super may still make sense in the budget since currently the RX 5700 and XT don't have any solid cooling solutions on the market. If the OP needs it now, it's a good option either way. If OP is waiting a while to buy, then I recommend looking at a solid cooler on an RX 5700 XT when the time comes, as that's a great price to performance prospect, and you've got the 3700X to support a solid OBS stream without bothering with NVENC.

Here is an awesome point of reference:

If that's so i'd go full team Red too

PCPartpicker Italia is pretty limited. You may find a decent savings by sourcing these parts via a local retailer or a domestic website you like.

The 3700X can run well on a solid B450 or X470 board, however it's only about a 60E difference between a really solid unit and a reasonable X570 board.

This way you'll have no stress on a BIOS update, and will be able to fully utilize any PCIe 4 capabilities of the CPU. Since you're going to stream using the CPU, you may as well feed it well.

I paired with an RX 5700 XT, which if you'll read above, I'd wait on and grab one with a solid cooler when they drop (hopefully soon!) For AMD cards, SAPPHIRE is often a great option.

Thank you very much for explaining to me how it works and i Dont need the parts right Now i can easuly wait untill september for the rx 5700xt and for the mobo the extra 100 euros that i would have used for the GPU i will invest them on a solid mobo as u said.

Thank you very much
