So, turns out my 10+years old computer won't survive much longer.
I'll need a new build for Digital Painting, 3D modelling practices (still learning), casual 1080p Gaming, and casual audio production (USB Home Studio Devices).

Looking up most recent builds I came up with the following on my budget:

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro

Processor: Ryzen 5 3600

RAM: (2x8) 16GB DDR4 3000 CL16

Storage: M.2 Samsung 860 EVO 250Gb

Case: NZXT H200I

Total: USD 850,00

My Budget would be up to USD 1000,00 for these parts.

I could use from my old build:

-Corsair PSU 650W (don't recall the model, but it's an 80+ gold non-modular, 2 years use)

-2x HDDs (1TB and 2TB SATA)

-GPU Radeon HD 6950 (Will get replaced with an RTX 2060 later on around December)

-All Peripherals

The things I'm not confident about are the form factor and RAM.

I never built an ITX before, is it up to the task? Would I need better cooling?

As for RAM should I get 2x16 or higher speeds than 3000's?

Would be a better choice getting mATX and 4x4 or 4x8 kits?

Any better M.2 recommendations?

Is there any bottleneck? (Besides GPU, but I plan on upgrading later)

I don't plan on overclocking ever.

Thanks in advance :)

Itx builds are usually pretty bad in terms of thermals, if it's going to be used heavily for gaming and 3d modeling I would suggest going for just a micro atx so you can pick up a little bit bigger of a case that has better thermals. ITX boards and cases are usually a little bit more expensive than their Micro ATX or ATX counterparts as well.

I could adapt to a B450M Mortar and get more RAM sticks all on a bigger case with the same budget.

But I kinda wanted a small build as I already got a small room and table to work with.

Maybe add a Kraken X62 Cooler would help? It'll still be inside budget.

If you have a $1000 budget, plus already have the PSU, HDDs, and  GPU to use until you decide to upgrade, you could do a bit better than a 3600. Here's two builds one is MATX and the other ITX, both great builds, the MATX is a bit more budget friendly and the meshify C is one of the best cases on the market for thermals. Also if you went for the MATX build you can throw an RTX 2060 in it for only like $300 more so with a new RTX 2060 in the build as well it only brings you up to like $1100ish.

with that case you will be just fine, but the 2060 must be 2 slots tall, there is not much space on that area where gou goes so air flows well

looks good to me, look at this video about a build inside that case, is a long review

build in that case is the same as build in the h500, but h500 has even less restrictions

consider moving to a micro or atx form factor if size is not a limitation, but a itx on that case is easy to do, perfectly viable

scratch the 860 m.2 for a 970.  Ryzen 5 2600 is reasonably priced.  Check the qualified vendor list (QVL) for compatible memory.  32G is overkill. 2X8 would be fine IMHO.  The case has good features.  You only have 1 3.5 bay for the other drives unless they are ssd's or 2.5 laptop drives. Other than that, it will be a nice machine.

Hey guys, decided to go with the X570 ITX Build

Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro

Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X

RAM: (2x8) 16GB DDR4-3200 CL16

Storage: M.2 Samsung 970 EVO 250Gb

Case: NZXT H200I

Got an NZXT Kraken X52 to tackle the heating problem a bit for just 50 bucks over the budget.

And now that I have the power for it, I might consider overclocking a bit. Seems like a waste not to.

As for the GPU, any particular brands I should keep an eye out? (RTX 2060)

Thanks for the tips and may the Force be with you. :)

There you go mate..

I found these builds in Pinterest, to convince you to proceed your build further. Don't worry, it can even take NH-D15 the whole unit with its chromax covers, should be a cool inside cool outside build.
