So I have this old computer a friend gave me that's close to ten years old. It's a gigabyte ga-ep35c-ds3r motherboard and I put a core 2 quad q9650 into it. I also installed a be quite dark pro 3 cooler with a R9 270x OC. Everything was fine until I put the different cpu and cooler into it. The psu is a 650w antec that I believe has been in there the whole time. Everything turns on, fans spin, stuff lights up but no signal from the gpu. I do notice the fans on the gpu don't spin but I've heard alot of the time they wont spin until under load. Do I not have enough power, or is my gpu bad now? I did put a gtx 750ti into it and the fans spin but still no signal. I don't hear any beeps from my motherboard but I never did when I turned it on before and it worked fine. Also i'm at work so I can't do anything until I get off later today.

I assume you mean ep45c-ds3? ep35c-ds3 doesn't exist.

It could be that the board needs a bios update, it could be that the CPU is dead.

Last time I look it was 35 but I don't have a picture of it but it does exist. From what I have gathered it needs a BIOS update. So I'll probably switch out the cpu to the other one and see if it starts and do a BIOS update.

Yeah it's a weird one. When I saw it supported DDR2 and DDR3 was weird. I knew I should of updated the BIOS before I did anything, since the cooler I have for it is a pain in the ass to install. The be quite dark pro 3 is pretty massive, well for me at least.
