[HELP] SSD cloning to NVMe

Snotrap

Hey all,

Picked up an NVMe drive today, just wondering how I would grab my existing windows install from a smaller, 120GB SanDisk drive to my newly acquired 256GB NVMe drive.

Tried Macrium Reflect, didn't work because of different partition tables.

Is there any way I can clone it/have all my docs/installed programs to the new drive?

Thanks in advance.

I know. I need to update this. And I will. Eventually.

I recently cloned a drive (not just one partition) to half-sized new drive with the Macrium Reflect, succesfully. (1TB HDD to 512GB SSD)

I created an full image of the original drive and then cloned that to the new drive. I remember going through some settings checking that it would first take an image that'd allow partitions to be resized. Unfortunately, I only used it once at work so I don't remember the stuff right now. But it should be able to clone a bit-by-bit image of the whole drive to a bigger drive no problem.

You're best off to do a clean install and a profile migration program. SATA and NVMe are very different ways of talking, so a clean install is always recommended
