Hey guys! So I get to discover that mu Audio isn't working on my PC. (old one). So, i thought it might be the speakers so, I tried to put my speakers (Creative 245) into another PC and check if it's speakers problem or not. But, it works well in other pc's. so, this isn't the speaker. Then I put another Computers speakers into my old computer and that too doesn't work. So it's definitely the Audio ports. I'm currently downloading Updates though I'm updated till now. What could be the problem? I will tell you guys what happens after the update. Please help me! Can't do much without audio :(

Hey, it's possibly drivers not being installed. Which audio ports are you talking about, the ones at the back on the motherboard?

Yep, the rear panel one. And what do you mean by they're not installed? All these days, even today, I've played games and listened to music. Let me make this clear to everyone:

Today afternoon I came and started the PC and browsed the Internet and listened to some songs. Then, I go to study and my bro comes and sits on the PC. I said go and play on other PC. He says:No, I want this PC because I have to play Some games. I said: You can play it on any other computer!. Then I said: F'ck! I'm late for my classes. So, I went. But, while going, I heard the noises of the game Rise of Nations. My bro was playing till I came back. Then I stopped the game and then the PC is freezed. So, I restarted it and then Suddenly, the voice isn't there!

Check any audio "control panel" that may have come with the motherboard to see if the audio jacks are re-configurable. It may be that the usual audio out port (green) has accidentally been configured as a mic port or rear channel port, etc.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

Well, I get this when I plug my Speaker in the Green audio port.

Ok, try to go through these quick steps to check nothing stupid happened like your audio device being unselected.

http://www.tinyeye.com/avsetup/soundsetup_xp.html#1

Next, follow these steps to find device manager on XP

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windowsxp/ht/accessdmcpnxp.htm

Now right click on your sound device and select update drivers. If this doesn't work then manually download the drivers for it. Now right click and un-install them. Restart computer and re-install.
