No RAM stick detected?

LennyD

So basically a couple of days ago i made this post:

I didnt get any solutions but its alright. To sum it up really fast: computer crashed? sort of when i was watching youtube videos in full screen and while playing battlefront 2. Sometimes it happened mid game sometimes it happened while i was in the main menu doing anything. I added a ? to the word crashed because im confused about it. I would get a black screen and sometimes i could even hear what was going on but only a manual reset would be the solution. During the black screen time any commands would be pointless. Also its worth mentioning i wouldnt get my monitor to show me a black screen it would just say no signal detected and pretty much show nothing like the HDMI cable got unplugged.

Today, i was watching another youtube video and it happened again, but this time resetting didnt do anything almost only 1 fan from my case would start spinning while the others didnt, and it was just a regular fan not the CPU one. After many reboots and trying on a different GPU i got the same results. I figured the motherboard was broken since some components plugged in would work while some didnt.

While all that happened i was using an asus h 110m-c and in the meantime i got a h 110m-r as a temporary solution, just to test things out. Switch the CPU and all that to the brand new motherboard plug it in, put only one of my 8 gb RAM stick in just to see if it will boot and guess what it did boot. Amazing! Now to put the other stick in and i guess enjoy my new motherboard?

Yeah, no. I have 2 sticks of 8 gb 2133 DDR4 from Corsair the Value select line. And now to describe my problem:

Having only 1 stick in works. Having the other stick in only doesnt work.

Having both sticks in doesnt work.

Moving the one stick that worked on its own in the other RAM slot doesnt work.

Im just really confused right now because i really thought it was the motherboard. I got the second stick of RAM in like May and they were both working fine until two days ago i have encountered no problem before. I have to admit that after i installed it ( on the original motherboard) i didnt reset the cmos like most people recommend doing when installing something new on your motherboard.

Im running windows 7 64 bit with a corsair rmx 650w an i5 6500 3.2 ghz and a gtx 1060 asus 6 gb.

I tried not to ramble on too much but i feel like its necessary to mention everything in order to get a fix.

You sure you putting one RAM on say channel 1 and the other stick to channel 3 ?  They can't be close together.

I only have 2 slots on both of my motherboards. I just installed a new version of bios of the asus site and now my keyboard and mouse wont work.

Awww crap.  That should not happen.  You sure it wasn't a beta BIOS.  You shouldn't need a BIOS upgarde for yoru RAM to get detected ya know.  Try taking out the CMOS battery wait a minute then put it back in get into your BIOS as hopefully your keyboard will be sorted out and what not.

At this point i gave installing a new bios version on but it seems like it fucked everything. Since my keyboard and mouse are both rgb i can tell if they work or not and they work until the computer boots they work in bios but not in windows. Im gonna try the battery thing tomorrow its 2 am now and im kinda done with this for the night. Hopefully more suggestions to come over night. Thanks for the prompt answers ill keep you notified on the progress.

Edit: the keyboard and mouse turn off as soon as i get the windows loading logo.
