Which would you choose?

Right now I'm trying to find a good 1000-1200$ laptop to both game on and be able to take to school. I'm currently trying to decide between the Dell G3 and the Asus Zephyrus G. My problem with the G3 is that it's lacking in reviews as of rn and so I'm not sure what to think of it and while the Asus really interests me because of its great battery life I'm unsure about the Ryzen processor. Which would you choose? Also, does anyone know how the G3's battery life is?

Neither are good choices

Where are you from? Usage? Prefer min how many hours of battery life? Any preference on weight?

At least it can keep the parts cool.

It has bad cooling. Someone tested it and it runs hot (CPU 90s, GPU 80s. Even with Ryzen CPU and Max-Q GPU). Also a lot of minor issues

US, I plan on using this a lot for college as well as some gaming when I'm at home. I'd prefer 5+ hours and wouldn't want anything over 6lbs max. I'd even consider going back a year and getting a model with a 1060 but nothing has so far met my requirements other than these. I'd be okay with open box and refurbished even

Eluktronics Mech-17 G1R with 62Wh battery (suggest upgrading RAM+storage by yourself for cheaper cost)

Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-78VL - need some stretch to get 5 hrs battery life (with MUX)

Lenovo Legion Y540 15 81SX000KUS - need some stretch to get 5 hrs battery life (with MUX)
