Is overclocking your video card too much or to that max bad?

The higher you push the GPU core temperatures, the more significant the chances your graphics card will degrade. Keep an eye on your temperatures and don't let it get too hot  ^_^

it can only cause damage if you take the voltage up too high, otherwise it's very safe to mess with, however you will experience throttling and artifacts if you overclock too high and will need to restart the pc and retry a lower overclock.

Well, I was messing with the controls and was seeing how far each bar can go to. I think I accidentally pressed apply and my monitors all turned pink and yellow and had to start in safe mode to uninstall the program.

you couldn't break a card on a stock bios, it would be more down to bad luck than the card dying from too much voltage. its just like getting a bsod on your cpu. its a black screen thats bad when you're on a modded bios running over 1.3v :P
