How to activate mantle

I have a HD 7970 and BF4. I updated Battlefield 4 through origin and made sure my drivers were up to date and went on to video settings in battlefield and there is no option to apply mantle. My driver is 13.11 if this is not right how do I update to the one needed to run mantle?

You need 14.1 drivers to run Mantle.

i thought mantle was further delayed?

You need 14.1 to be able to enable mantle; we still have to wait...

System: i5-2500k, Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3, Mushkin Enhanced Blackline, R9 290X, CoolerMaster Elite 430, OCZ Vector, Corsair RM650, Dell U2412M, Corsair H60, Sidewinder X6, M6880, Asus Xonar DG

I don't know.

I believe you have to disMantle the game first. :P

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

This mantle update requires 14.11 drivers. 14.11 drivers are DBA. Even when 14.11 rolls out, only 290, 290x, and 260x will run mantle. All GCN cards will be able to run Mantle in the future. So you can't run mantle as of now. Hopefully soon, but who knows.

No, the 14.1 beta driver will have Mantle support for all GCN cards though not as optimized as those 3.
