upgrade system Looking to upgrade

Hi  

 

Maybe you guys have a opinion 

 

My current system is a i5-4690k with a asus strix gtx 980. 

My idea for the first upgrade: AMD 5700XT (custom cooler) with the I5 4690k  Or gtx 980 with ryzen 7 3700x   (Money is a bit tight)

 

The monitor I use is a 1080p 144HZ (mainly play BO4 ATM at about 110FPS~)

I like the 7 3700X more than 5700xt before partner cards arrive.

For pure gaming, Ryzen 5 3600 and save some cash for later, and partner 5700 models that aren't blowers will come around when you have the money for a GPU upgrade.

Why needing a 3700x? coming from a i5? Save the money if you don't need the CPU power as much and go with a 3600 or 3600x

So if i understand correctly:  CPU upgrade before GPU?

 

I will look into the ryzen 5 3600 with a 470x motherboard.

And of course i will wait for the Sapphire RX 5700XT :P (or something like that)
